It was during his second international volunteer role from 2014-2016 as Director of Operations of Partners in Hope, a primary health and HIV medical center in Lilongwe, Malawi, that Andy began to explore how he could help facilitate other seasoned business professionals put their skills and experience to practical use, building the capacity and strengthening leadership of global delivery organizations serving marginalized and at-risk people groups in developing nations of the world.  When a unique opportunity to assume leadership of an existing outreach mission arm of a Canadian charity presented itself, Andy gathered a team of like-minded professionals and with their combined passion for service excellence through Christian compassion, launched Hands and Feet International in 2018.

Today, after serving overseas for eleven+ years, Andy is currently living with his beautiful wife Sonya in Cape Town, South Africa and they have three adult children, two of which are married and two grandchildren residing in Canada.  As they continue  as volunteers posted under Hands and Feet International, Andy is serving with Hillsong Africa Foundation, focused on providing leadership coaching and strategic advisory services to programs development, while Sonya gives oversight to Living in Color, a program focused on helping women recover and heal from post-abortion trauma.
