As a Christ-centered organization, we adhere to the following Statement of Faith:
We believe:

- One God, eternally existent in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit…
- Our Lord Jesus Christ, God manifest in the flesh, His virgin birth, His sinless human life, His divine miracles, His vicarious and atoning death, His bodily resurrection, His ascension, His mediatorial work, and His Personal return in power and glory…
- The Salvation of lost and sinful man through the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ by faith apart from works, and regeneration by the Holy Spirit…
- The Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the believer is enabled to live a holy life, to witness and work for the Lord Jesus Christ…
- The Unity of the Spirit of all true believers, the Church, the Body of Christ.
- The Resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life, they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
Statement of Christian Conduct and Practice:
It is important that all HFI volunteers consistently demonstrate Christian conduct, whether while serving and performing their role with the Partner organization, during travel time between home and the posted location, or while on times of personal leave/excursions yet still considered actively engaged in serving the partner organization (not yet departed from the posting).

- I am willing to set aside personal preferences, habits and schedule in the interest of others to fulfill the requirements of the role as defined by the hosting Partner and sanctioned by HFI;
- I understand there are variations in practice and understanding of Scripture in some areas of doctrine, Christian living and witness. In serving with Hands and Feet International, I will abide by the standards of the Partner to which I have been posted in all areas including dress, entertainment, activities, etc. This includes a willing agreement to abstain from the use of alcohol, drugs, and tobacco and being sensitive to cultural, regional, and any church affiliation expectations and standards;
- I understand that Partners served by Hands and Feet International are Protestant evangelical delivery organizations in basic harmony with the Hands and Feet International Statement of Faith. However, due to varied viewpoints on some Christian doctrine in serving, I agree to refrain from promoting, discussing or practicing in public any personal doctrine or teaching that is contrary to the beliefs, standards and practices of the hosting Partner at which I have been posted for volunteer service;
- In cooperation with the leadership overseeing the role I am fulfilling through my volunteer service, I will:
- seek to perform all my duties to the highest standard of professional excellence;
- freely transfer my business and technical knowledge in a manner that builds team capacity, know-how and deepens professional expertise amongst my peers and team members; and
- assist my overseers in the cultivation, growth and development of team member leadership skills and practice of leadership principles, through training, coaching, mentoring and general knowledge transfer.
