Well, I have arrived safe and sound with a few days to settle in before everything started up after the holidays. My hosts, Kelly, Celo and their new little adopted daughter Jubilee have been wonderful helping me settle in and feel welcomed.

Kelly is the founder and runs the Lighthouse counselling centre that I am working out of. Kelly and I were in graduate school together and were on our first mission trip to Rwanda in 2009 where the country has gripped her heart and she has been a missionary here ever since.
The development here in Kigali is staggering in comparison to my missions trips of 2009 and 2012 although much of the rural areas are still impoverished.

The applied counselling program resumed last week and it is truly an amazing program of which I feel so privileged to be a part of. I have also had the opportunity to meet with some other colleagues who work at the Centre and be involved in consultation. Currently, we are working at building a clientele for counselling.
I hope everyone is well and staying warm! Yes I have seen the forecast back in Calgary!
Hope to write again soon.
