I just wrapped up a special Project Management “101” course that I designed specifically for managers who have never been introduced to the concepts of Project Management. Its a high level summary of project management basics that provide the fundamentals around the definition, planning and implementation phases of a project.
We spent about 8 hours together over a 4-week period and the five senior leadership members expressed their deep appreciation for the investment in growing their competencies. All of them have accountabilities in designing and implementing programs across South Africa for HAF and so I am sure they will make good use of these newly learned skills.
Its also been good for me to revisit and brush up on these core competencies that have been a core set of skills I’ve drawn on across my commercial career and now in these volunteer roles as I serve as Executive Adviser with Hillsong Africa Foundation. .
