Organization Summary
Lighthouse Counselling and Training Centre’s mission is to provide quality professional counselling and training that empowers and equips individuals, families and organizations. They focus on restoring emotional wellness, renewing and rebuilding relational strength, regardless of the personal difficulties their clients and students have had to navigate.
The Centre is a professional counselling and training organization with experienced, highly-trained professional therapists and lay counselors. They value the individual process and treat each client with respect. They provide high-quality clinical care and a non-judgmental atmosphere where clients feel safe emotionally and physically. At Lighthouse, their belief is that healing is a journey of transformation, not a destination.
Lighthouse welcomes international volunteers to assist with building capacity of their professional and administrative teams as well as imparting knowledge and skills in order to develop capable lay counselors who can assist in the healing and transformation of the nation of Rwanda.
Lighthouse Counselling and Training Centre is built on the foundational truth found in Isaiah 61:1-4, from which it derives its three focus areas: RESTORE, RENEW and REBUILD.
