We held our second Innovation Hub Vision Night to invite the general public to learn more about our Vision and solicit their interest to help as volunteer Facilitators and Coaches.
Steffan vanderMale and myself co-hosted the evening and we had an excellent turn out of over 60 people interested to learn more and over 15 signed up to want more information about how they can get involved!
We provided brochures that described our strategy to deliver our Intake, Training and Launching stages of the Program and along with a professional presentation we fielded several questions. The best things was being able to meet together in our new amazing Hub facility here in Philippi Village where we will be delivering the program out of starting August 6th.
It was a great evening to meet many new people who have expressed interest in becoming a volunteer Facilitator to help us deliver our Leadership and Identity, Digital Marketing Skills, Soft Skills for Business, or be a mentor/coach for each young person enrolled.
We were able to have 4 of the 20 young people join us for the event and Steffan interviewed them as part of the program. Here are two of the female young people: Zikohna and Thembi, who are finishing up their grade 12 metric and joining the first phase of our training that commences in August.
What a privilege to be a part of such an amazing program that will provide innovative access to opportunities that will unlock the potential of the next generation, ultimately connecting them to the local & global digital economy here in South Africa!
